Intex has been producing phones for a long time , but it was just recently that they had entered the Smart Phone Industry . Just after their entry they have banged the Industry with their 12 mid-segmented smartphones and have claimed to bring 20 more new smartphones in the coming time .The Company claims that this Smartphone would become one of the Best Economic Smartphone as per its Price.
Design
The Intex Aqua i-5 has the same design as all the other Smartphones in the market have but it is a bit lighter and slimmer . It has a width of 8.8mm and it weighs only 155 grams . It has been out in the market now only in Black and White Colour .
It has a 2 Mega Pixel front camera with a small LED flash light right beside it and 3 captive buttons at it's front. The audio rocker is located on the left hand side on the phone with the power/screen lock button on the right hand side .
It has a 12 mega pixel camera at its backside. The battery compartment covering covers the battery, micro SD card, SIM and the micro SIM.
Display
The Intex Aqua i-5 has a 5 inch qHD IPS display screen with a Resolution of 540X960 and pixel density of 221ppi . The pictures and apps appear very sharp with good viewing angles. The videos taken play very well with good graphics. When in the sun there are some problems viewing the display but overall it comes up to a good average display .

Software
The Intex Aqua i-5 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean the latest OS in the Android Industry . Aqua i-5 has all the normal apps that a Android Phone may have like messenger , Gmail etc. It also has different themes as per the user's choice. You can place shortcuts of widgets on your home screen as many other phones have .
It has a customizable home screen with lots of shortcuts and widgets. You can place your favourite apps at the home screen which can be accessed easily afterwards.
The Intex Aqua i-5 comes with Google Now which allows users to interact with the phone verbally to perform certain specified functions.
It comes with some default games like 3D carrom ,chess And RacingMoto , it also has apps like Skype, Facebook ,twitter File manager, NQ Mobile Vault app , firewall etc. It has a specific option to automatically record phone calls too.
Hardware
The Intex Aqua i-5 has a 1.2GHz Mediatek MT6589 quad-core processor with a 1 GB RAM onboard and PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU . It has a 4GB storage memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB with micro SD card.
The phone runs smoothly but it doesn't support the MOV. format of the video clips with that it cannot play full HD videos and has a low audio output as compared with other Smartphones it also supports FM radio which many Smartphones lack as they don't give much importance to it .
It has a good call quality but some disturbance may be encountered with 3G networking.
But overall the hardware had a grade B++ ( couldn't give A because of its some Drawbacks ) cording to me but the software actually filled it all up .
Camera
The Intex Aqua i-5 has a 12 Mega Pixels camera which takes decent or rather good pictures and the video input was also also good. It has many features like auto, panaroma etc. in it which makes it more better than usual . But the pictures taken at low light doesn't come out very well. The front 2 Mega Pixels camera also takes good pictures at good lighting conditions , the videos were also decent and the front camera is perfect for video calling purpose. Overall the Camera part of this phone was decent and I consider that is is perfect for normal photography .
Battery
The Intex Aqua i-5 comes with a 2000mAh Battery which can last for a day with a heavy and low usage including 1-1.5 hours of calling, Push mails, apps, paying music ,videos, twitter, facebook and in the 3G mode . Overall the battery performance was really great as compared to all the other Smartphones in the market which can only last for 13 - 15 hours .
Price
This fabulous Smartphone has been only priced for Rs.11,690 which is really economical as compared to other Phones ( having the same facilities ) in the market.
Advise
This Intex Aqua i-5 is a great deal for everyone wishing to have a good Smartphone at a low cost but it is a bit inferior to other smartphones in the aspect of it's resolution . But still it is a really good deal to have this phone in your pocket at this price .
