The HTC Desire 600 is the first HTC Smartphone that carries on the design of HTC One but at a much low cost. So as the Price goes down you cannot dream of a HTC Smartphone with premium hardware though you get all the software facility that a Android Smartphone can give. The Desire 600 also has the Dual SIM facility too. So let's find out whether it would be a good or a bad purchase for us....!

Design-

As I had told You before that the HTC Desire 600 inherits the design of HTC One but at a much lower cost. The HTC Desire 600 is a bit different and unique from other Smartphones like it, due to it's stylish color scheme and style.

The HTC Desire 600 comes with a 4.5 inch screen with a black bezel surrounding it encapsulated in a frame with a red accent finishing. The phone sports 2 front speakers and a 1.6 megapixels front camera with two captive touch buttons namely - Back and Home buttons right below the Display Screen. A LED is buried inside the top speaker grill which blinks when new notifications come up.
The Volume Rocker is place on the right hand side whereas the Screen or the Power lock is place on the top with the 3.5mm audio jack. The USB port has been placed at the bottom for convenience( acc. to me).
At the back of the phone you get a 8 megapixels camera with a LED flash light. The battery compartment with the Micro-SIM card and the Micro-SD card slots located on the top of the battery compartment is concealed under a glossy plastic covering.

All over the Design is nice but the phone is prone to Scratches but the plastic quality used is better compared to the other  Smartphones.

Display-

The HTC Desire 600 comes with a 4.5 inch Super LCD2 qHD Screen with a resolution of 540X960 pixels  and a pixel density of  245ppi .
The display was very good enough and the graphics and text appeared to be sharp with least light reflection and with good sunlight visibility and viewing angles. Though it's a bit disheartening that the phone doesn't come with 720p display but however the display was nice ( bit better than expected).

Software-

The HTC Desire 600 runs on Android 4.1.2 Jellybean which is disappointing because it is not the latest android version but it does come with the HTC special UI named " Sense 5" which was introduced in HTC One.
You get the Blink Feed which allows you to push any notification on the home screen as per your choice. The phone also allows to push Facebook, Twitter etc. updates with Blink Feed and allows you share the update using social networks and e-mail.
One can set upto 5 Home screens including the Blink Feed and can also reduce it to one but that has to be the Blink Feed one.
The display has been brought down to flat making it a bit classic and not like the HTC One.
However it features all the software apps of the HTC One.
The phone doesn't feature the 3rd menu button which may cause some problem in handling the phone as maximum of us use Android phones with 3 buttons but still it was fun using it.
When press hold the home tab you get directed to Google Play and when you Double tap it you get directed to the app switcher.

Like the HTC One the HTC Desire 600 also allows you to restore or import information from you previous device but this also allows to transfer contacts through bluetooth for iPhone.

The HTC Desire 600 doesn't contain the TV remote app as it does not feature the IR blaster, it also doesn't feature the Kid mode which was present in HTC One.

Overall the Software backup was good but could have been better (I Think !!).

Hardware-

The HTC Desire 600 comes with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor with a 1GB RAM, and an Adreno 203 chip for processing graphics. The Phone has 8GB of internal memory which could be expanded up to 64GB using Micro-Sd Cards.
The Phone offers dual-SIM functionality with support for one 3G SIM and a GSM SIM. It offers active standby, which implies that if you're on a call on one SIM and get another call on the other one.
The Sound Quality was good but incomparable with HTC One.
The call quality was very good without any disturbance in between conversations.
Full HD videos were unable to run on HTC Desire 600.
The phone also offers FM Radio and comes with NFC functionality for transferring content with other NFC-enabled phones. It also supports the DLNA protocol for wireless streaming of media from the phone to a compatible TV or a computer.
Overall there was no lag during navigation and the apps ran smoothly, the Web browsing experience with it is also good , the default web browser allows to turn on Flash to run flash apps.
The gaming experience was also good enough but some problem was encountered with simple games like Subway Surfers but Asphalt 7 ran smoothly on it.

Camera-

The HTC Desire 600 comes with a 8megapixels rear camera with auto focus and LED flash functionality. The phone has a image-processing chip dedicated for processing the images faster with 5 level flash which automatically adjusts depending on the distance of the object.
The phone has its own Camera app giving all the features that a good camera can give. It allows different scene settings for still captures, switching between HDR, Sweeping Panorama and Anti-shake modes, and choosing the slow motion video mode.  It also allows users to put a self timer which ranges between 2 to 10 seconds, selecting the resolution, video quality, review duration, image adjustments , ISO and White Balance settings etc.
The phone takes good pictures in daylight but at dark the pictures taken appear grainy.
The Front 1.6megapixels also takes decent pictures and can be used for Video calling.

Overall the Camera functionality of the phone is decent .

Battery-

The HTC Desire 600 comes with a 1860 mAh battery. The Battery lasted for about 11 to 12.5 hours with a midium and heavy usage including 2 hours of calling, facebook, Twitter , Games, apps, the Wi-Fi was turned on this while.

Overall the Battery Life was also Good.

Price-

After this review you are surely willing to know it's price wright ? and for that .... The HTC Desire 600  has been Marked For a Price Of  Rs.26,000  only !!

Advice-

After this review I would like to say, "This phone gives a lot of Functionality which is why it is worth buying but after reviewing it's price I believe that it may not be a profitable buy for some whose pockets are not that much loose". Yea that's what I think about it. The Price of this phone should have been marked somewhere between Rs.18,000 to Rs.20,000. But still you get the Guarantee because of the Company. So it may be a good pick for some and may not be for others.

Thanks for reading , and please comment if you have any suggestions :) .
